This website gives me the opportunity to play curator. And I love the idea of curator. An informed collector who is in a position to share a collection and the sometimes tenuous links between the things in that collection.

Design is the last great liberal art. The more of the world you take in and the more varied that world is, the better you are at communicating.

Some people specialize in how that communication manifests itself. Photographers, illustrators, writers, artists have all chosen a medium. As a designer, I have the significant chore and equally significant pleasure of working with any of this media from many different ‘communicators’. I get to curate and arrange.

As it stands, I’m curating my own content here. Photography, writing, design, and an area of distinctly not me content I have simply called excursions.

Your words are welcome.mailto:steven@designrumpus.com?subject=From%20the%20Rumpus%20Roomshapeimage_4_link_0
